The James Group is a boutique Belize real estate concierge and buyer’s agent with services tailored to the needs of the international investor. Our main office is located on Ambergris Caye, but we are active in a number of Belize mainland destinations as well. The team at The James Group brings combined expertise with local and expat team members who have made Belize home, including our owner Michael Fields.

The James Group was named after owner Mike Fields’ late father, James Fields. James was a kind man of integrity who was very well respected in his Illinois community. As a tribute, we at The James Group pride ourselves on the pillars of trust, transparency, and quality client care every step of the way in the international real estate arena.

About Mike Fields

Michael Fields, owner and managing director at The James Group, is a people person at heart. He’s always eager to make an acquaintance and share a laugh. “He’s a small-town boy with huge determination and a heart of gold,” says his best friend of thirty years, Tricia.

Originally from a quiet town outside of Chicago, as a twenty-something Mike headed west to San Francisco to create for himself what would become a successful sales career spanning two decades. But after 20 years in one of the world’s most expensive cities, Mike’s interest drew toward real estate in international real estate markets with huge potential for growth.

After a quick trip to check out the buzz around Ambergris Caye, Belize circa 2016, Mike sold everything and headed south in search of a simpler life with more opportunity and a return to the sense of community that he enjoyed as a Midwestern boy.
